NRSFTC Dog and Puppy Information
Welcome to the Dog and Puppy Information page of the National Red Setter Field Trial Club website. This page may be used to publish information on dogs and/or puppies for sale or barter, potential breedings, inquiries for dogs and/or puppies, and similar related information. Postings should provide pedigree information, hip x-ray info, prices or agreements, and other information of interest to a potential seller/buyer. The National Red Setter Field Trial Club will not make specifc recommendations, nor is the Club responsible for the satisfaction level of buyers and/or sellers. Buyers and sellers are strongly encouraged to research destinations for dog and puppy sales, just as you would with any valuable commodity.

I have one male and one female whelped 5-22-08. They are are out of my female, Shoshonee's Evil Bean, and Roger Berg's Ironfire Hercules. Their mother is one of my primary hunting dogs and does a great job on both quail and pheasant. She has a strong nose and steady high tail point. The pups grandfather is my Shoshonee's Shamus O'Ryan who I have now retired, but in his prime was the best pheasant dog I ever hunting over. I am currently exposing both pups to a pheasant wing. My sire, Ironfire's Jack Radigan, just sired another litter of pups. The dam is from Berg Bros. breeding. This litter should produce excellent hunters, field trial prospects and family members. We have a 10 month old male red setter pup who is looking forward to his first hunting season. He has had exposure to pheasants and chuckars. He has amazing bird drive and is very
staunch on point. He is housebroke and has a great disposition. We are located in Wisconsin and own both the sire and the dam. Let me know if you would like to see pictures or want more information.

About 20 years ago, we got a red setter pup that was a "cull" because of her coloring -- mostly white with red markings. She was a wonderful family dog. She has passed on now and we are looking for another pup. An ability to hunt is not required, or even desired. What we want is a good disposition. Please contact me via e-mail if you know of a pup such as this.
