Subject: New years wishes and prayers

The Jewish New Year starts Friday night. Don't know if anybody is still reading here, but if so, I wanted to wish you a very happy new year, whether you're Jewish or not. I think we can all always use a number of chances to start over and the past year has been difficult for many people.
Add prayers for the Palestinians to have leadership that truly desires peace. It would be nice to have a year where Israel was free from terror. It would help if the other Arab states also desire peace.
I pray too that we figure out what we want, before just blindly rushing into war with Iraq. I don't see how we can get out of it, once we get into it. It would seem we'd be occupying Iraq for a long time. Nobody, and certainly not me, would cry for Saddam if he was not part of the world, but this is different than heading for a war that the world doesn't support. This situation is not like 1991, when many countries formed a coalition. Right now, I'm unconvinced that war is necessary or desirable.
Any way, I wish everybody a year of good health and happiness.
Jeff

Nice to see you.

BTW - if you're looking for another slow moving web site, my sister and I have started one partly dedicated to musicals(and country music, books, disney, religion, plus a general category). We're still playing around a little. Hopefully, you got an invitation. Feel free to pop in sometimes. We're trying to get some fellow musical lovers. :-)

But could you re-send me the link via my aol acct? (katherinejo@aol.com) Unfortunately, my Hotmail acct is becoming increasingly hijacked by spam. :-(

I wish you the best.

I'll pray for everything you said, although I'm not Jewish. I wish you're prayers will be answered and I wish you a great year to come.

See you around the net.

It's my personal belief that God has no prejudices and that there are many different ways of talking to him. While I'm very happy with my religion, I've always believed that God hears the sincere prayers of anybody, regardless of what religion they are. I'm always a little wary of anybody of any religion who believes they have all the answers. It's one of the reasons I wish everybody a happy new year and not just Jews.

A little off topic, but it's really nice to see "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" get so popular, isn't it? You and I were talking about what a good movie it was before a lot of people were seeing it. Just shows if you make a good quality movie, people will come. Hollywood just stop underating the public.
