Genealogy searches using online tools, or searching for a missing person using online resources?

I'm trying to locate a family member who has been missing for a very long time. I have very little personal information to go on (a name with no middle initial, an approximate birthdate, and one piece of personal information). The one family member who might have had additional information died 20 yrs ago, and all their personal papers were destroyed.

I've used some online resources (genealogy sites, vital records, etc) and so far I've spent a fair bit of money with no results. I'm not ready to give up on this yet, but I don't have the time to drive around the country digging for information.

Any advice, or suggestions of useful URLs would be greatly appreciated.

~Dana

You might try www.anybirthday.com and enter as much info as you have.

Thanks, Glen! I'll definitely check out the site in more depth tomorrow. I had a peek at it tonight, and it may prove useful.
