 I would like to say goodbye to all of you.

Pam, thank you for offering me the opportunity to post on your board.

Forest, thank you for all your support, and if you read this, and have an opportunity, extend my thanks to Piedro, on IS.

I never had the chance to thank Piedro for his taking on the issue of my banning on DP.

Also Jeff, take care, it was nice picking on you. I always enjoyed your posts, although we disagree on certain issues.

And farewell to the rest of you.

Take care, live a good life. Mark7 ceases to exist.

If anything, I would hope some people would remember few things from me, and all my posts on DP:

If someone asks you to give up sex for their love, they don't love you. Someone who loves you wants you happy in bed, as in the rest of your life.

If someone tells you God told them what You should do, tell ethem God knows your phone number and calls whenever He wants something from you. God tell people what they should do, not what others should.

If someone tells you that he/she should have control over your sex life, tell them to go to hell. Conservatives, Religious Right Conservatives in particular, only want control and power. And sex is power and control. Remind them that Laura Schlessinger had to prostitute herself in order to get the job where she claims to be the Virgin MOther Mary with a Jewish spin.

If someone tells you that morality comes from God, know that it comes from the King. If it came from God, we wouldn't worship Men in Uniforms with Guns.

And finaly, I wish people would know that a monopoly on communication is a monopoly on truth. That a lie, told over and over again, repeated by otherwise good people, becomes the truth. And it is hard to hear the truth when loud lies are booming all around you.

If we could learn not to hear the lies and listen only to what is true, we could live in a better world.

Our politicians would be better, who knows we may be able to have more than one ballot, so we have a better choice of candidates than Gore-Bush.

We could have medical and dental care for all the children in this nation.

We could chose better professions, and better employers.

Anyhow, it's long enough.

Mark, I don't know what prompted this. Maybe I should have my head examined, but in a bizarre way, I'll miss you at times. I always thought you had some good points on some issues,including the different reactions to men and women who wanted sex, but too often they would get lost in your excited rants and preconceived notions that you couldn't rid yourself of. I have to say that if one person repeats the same lie over and over again(such as stating that you were banned from the hearth for your opinions) that doesn't make it the truth, even if the lie isn't intentional. Nevertheless, I always thought deep down you were a decent person and in your own way cared about people. At any rate, you were impossible to ignore, try as I sometimes would. I'll drop a note in Pietro's inbox at the hearth telling him what you said, in case he doesn't read here.

If you remember two things from me, try these: It's easier to convince people you have something to say and get them to consider your opinions when you stay calm. Repeating things in a sarcastic screaming rant over and over again doesn't convert anybody to your viewpoint.

The other thing is that the world isn't all black and white. Most people aren't just liberal or conservative. Many of us who didn't like Bill Clinton like Dr. Laura even less, so don't jump to the conclusion that because we don't care for Clinton means we like Dr. Laura or Bush for that matter. Most wars have more than one side to the story. So do most marriages(though granted not all). The world is a complicated place, Mark, and the majority of people can't be classified as "good" or "bad" because they have both in them. Stay calm and listen and really hear what other people have to say and they'll do the same for you.

At any rate, I echo Clint's sentiments. I don't know why you're leaving and whether it's just this board or all boards, but as Clint said I hope you find peace. Much as you can drive me out of my mind at times, I don't want you heading to an early grave. Calm down and don't take everbody's opinions so personally and you'll live longer.

Ya know Mark...On many many issuesd you ARE right!! And nobody is always right....I am not sure why you take this all so seriously, but you do need to calm down and find peace....
Life is FULL of shit.....

There are many WRONGS in this world...

'God grant me the courage to change the things I can, the serenity to Accept the things I cannot change' and 'the wisdom to know the difference".... Remember that verse?

You should , for your own sake, take that advice to heart...

Besides things are bad in Palestine. It's all out war and no one is willing to admit it. Live ammo has been found in the bodies of dead palestinians when the Israelis assert they only use rubber bullets. . .

I've found an Arab columnist that I mostly agree with. This column is by Ziad Asali of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. I don't agree with everything he writes, but it's one of the few truly balanced columns that I've seen recently and I agree with enough of it that I thought I'd pass it along to you.
