I saw a big documentary on the two poor Israeli boys killed on their way home from school in the settlements.
A well done documentary about the problems settelers face.
They interviewed the parents of the Israeli boys. I had one question I wish I would have asked those parents.
What right did they have to bring their children into a war zone?
Honestly, if they were Russian Jews fleeing the colapse of the Soviet Union, I would have had simpathy for their situation.
But they left America, and moved their children into a war zone. I don't believe these parents had the right to do so.
In essence they used their children as pawns in their religion, trying to get land away from other 12 year olds who get shot for their rights on that land.
In order for the report to be fair, they should have shown the parents of some Arab kids that got killed in the conflict.
Maybe if they show enough of this kind of grief, the parents would fight this ugly war, and let the kids live.
But like animals, it is easy to pray on the young, the old and the sick. While Barack and Arafat shake hands and smile for the cameras. Disgusting.
My personal problem is that because the US government decided to give unconditional support to Israel, I am indirectly a part to a great crime. My tax money is used to arm killers of 12 year old Palestinian kids who throw stones for the right to live as free equal men in the land they were born.
And I do believe that the Arab story has never been told in America. I have sympathy for Jews who came from WW2 ravaged Europe. I also have some understanding for the Jews from Eastern Europe trying to live a better life.
I have little respect or understading for some parents who decide to live the safety of US, or Western Europe in search of the Bible myth and take children in the West Bank Settlements exposing them to death, or to become killers of Palestinian boys same age, later when they grow up.
I wish the sad story of the Palestinian woman who's house was demolished by Israeli tanks would be told. I would like Americans to see her 9 children, and give those 9 homeless Palestinian children REASONS why they should not become martyrs in some stupid Jihad.
The REASONS would have to be HOPE in a better life in West Bank and Gaza, a life where they can determine their destiny.
So far, I honestly believe that any rational human being who has the bad luck to be born Palestinian in the occupied territories would have it as faith to become a martyr in the Jihad.
Simply, life offers no alternative to martyrdom.
