Hello. Can Outlook and Outlook Express be uninstalled from the hard drive? The reason being my boss has them on his desktop. He gave me a secondhand laptop to do work on at my home. The laptop does not have the Outlooks. We use his email account with Earthlink to go online at our respective locations, though not simultaneously. Problem is he says the inbox contents of his Earthlink account are different than mine. I called Earthlink and they understood the question and advised I change the settings to keep email on the server. I did that and he says the inboxes are still different. I think he just is forgetting to "send/receive" every time he checks his mail. This frustrates himn no end and I agree that I don't see the purpose of Outlook and Outlook Express at all. It is just one extra step that a new computer user doesn't need to worry about. On my laptop I click on the Earthlink icon, log in with his password and I'm in. Click on mail icon and there it is. Simple. So, how can I change his desktop to be that simple? I want him to email without any reference to the outlooks. Thanks to anyone who can help me. Please email meat the above email. Cheers.
