Good morning ladies! Let's jump right into the WORD this morning...I am very excited about this today. Let's take a look at Ezra 10:2 (I LOVE THIS)!
Then Shecaniah son of Jehiel, one of the descendants of Elam, said to Ezra, "We have been unfaithful to our GOD by marrying foreign women from the peoples around us. BUT in spite of this, THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR ISRAEL..."
Ladies, stop whatever you are doing right now and think about those words. This man confessed, "YES, we have been unfaithful, BUT PRAISE GOD THERE IS STILL HOPE!!!" That is one incredible statement. Ma'am, can I ask you this morning do you need hope for an unfaithful heart? Have you have a period of unfaithfulness in your life recently? Would you allow me to remind you that you are NOT without hope. I sat this morning and I pondered this verse, and my mind wandered to others in the Bible that have been unfaithful but found that it was NOT hopeless. Look with me for just a minute at what has to be one of my favorite verses in all of Scripture.
Mark 16:7 But go, tell HIS disciples, and Peter, 'HE is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see HIM, just as HE told you.
Why would that be one of my most favorite verses in the whole Bible? Two little words seal it up for me. This is the account of Mary and Salome going to the tomb on resurrection morning. When they got to the tomb they found the stone was rolled away and JESUS was GONE. They were terribly upset, but the angel there told them that JESUS had risen as HE said HE would. Ladies, that's not the part for makes this so great to me. Did you catch it. The angel said to these two ladies, "But go, tell HIS disciples, AND PETER..." Max Lucado said it this way, "Go tell Peter he gets to bat again." Peter had been unfaithful, but the LORD JESUS had restoration in mind for him. Go tell my disciples, but don't forget to tell PETER. Ladies, put your name there. If you have been unfaithful, and we all have, the LORD JESUS went to Calvary so that you could have another chance...IT IS NOT HOPELESS. That is what I heard the FATHER say this morning when I read the verse in Ezra.
Before I wrap up this morning, I want to talk about a few other names you will find in the WORD of GOD. Think with me for just a minute about a man named Judas. What about him? Why didn't he get restored? Judas didn't get restored because he chose NOT to. JESUS gave him every opportunity to repent and Judas didn't do it. Think about King Saul. Why did he fail so miserably? Samuel came to him time after time and told him what to do, and over and over Saul followed his own arrogant heart. Saul was given opportunity after opportunity and he failed to be truly repentant. The last one I want to look at is Cain. He too had an opportunity to be restored in GOD's sight, but he too refused to repent. Look at Genesis 4:6: Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it."
GOD told Cain, do what is right and you will be accepted, but Cain chose to go his own way. GOD told Saul, through the prophet Samuel, do what is right and you will be accepted, but Saul chose his own way. The LORD JESUS plead with Judas to repent, but Judas chose to go his own way.
Ma'am, this morning the FATHER stands before you and says these words, "Do what is right, and you will be accepted!" HOW COOL IS THAT?!
I leave you this morning by simply saying that if you have been unfaithful there is still hope for you. Won't you turn your heart to the FATHER and ask HIM to do in you what ONLY HE can do? This is my prayer for you today. I have prayed for you this morning and have asked HIM to give you a heart that BELIEVES HIM!

ONLY and ALWAYS Because of JESUS-
Vicky
