Good morning ladies! My heart is amazed this morning at the goodness of my FATHER. I am overwhelmed at what HE showed me over the past few days. I could not have imagined what HE had in store when HE asked me to lay down my pen last week. I will tell you that it certainly was NOT what I had planned for my week. Without going into the details of the week I will tell you that it ended on Saturday with a sucker punch from the enemy, and it nearly sent me reeling. I wonder this morning, if you have experienced this in your Christian walk. Has the enemy shot any sucker punches at you lately? Ladies, please allow me to share with you this morning what my FATHER has shared with me over the last two mornings. I went to bed Saturday night feeling down and defeated because of some things that had been said to me earlier that day. The enemy came and whispered in my ear, "Vicky, you have history here, GOD WILL NOT USE YOU HERE!" I'll tell you that I was really feeling low and I was about to believe the lie; BUT GOD had another plan.
I got up yesterday morning and was spending time in HIS WORD and everywhere I turned the LORD JESUS was encouraging my heart. HE kept saying to me, "Vick, I am your strength, lean on me! Vicky, I AM WITH YOU! I have NOT left. DO NOT BE AFRAID." HIS final word to my heart yesterday was from the book of Philippians. HE reminded me that I am NOT to look back, I am to forget those things which are behind and I am to be pressing on and reaching forward to what HE has called me to.
Ladies, can I encourage you this morning, when Satan comes and taunts you with your past, to ask the LORD JESUS to answer the door. You see, we all have things in our lives that we are not proud of, but because of Calvary we don't have to fear our past. We can stand secure in HIS love and HIS plan for our lives. This morning HE reiterated these truths to me. HE continued to remind me that HE IS STANDING BESIDE ME and the enemy is a defeated foe. Defeated foes will throw sucker punches! When the enemy lands a blow it does hurt, but ladies if we will stop and take that pain to the LORD JESUS, HE WILL ANSWER FOR US. HOW COOL IS THAT!? I will leave you this morning with a few verses from Psalm 119 because the FATHER has reminded me again this morning that MY STRENGTH comes from HIM and HIS STRENGTH IS PERFECT!
Psalm 119:23-24 Though rulers sit together and slander me, YOUR servant will meditate on YOUR DECREES. YOUR STATUTES are my delight; THEY are my counselors.
Psalm 119:28 My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to YOUR WORD.
Psalm 119:103 How sweet are YOUR WORDS to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth.
Psalm 119:111 YOUR STATUTES are my heritage forever, they are the joy of my heart.
I encourage you this morning if you are feeling defeated and beat down by the enemy, spend some time with your FATHER today in HIS WORD and allow HIM to encourage your heart. A WORD from the FATHER's heart will serve as a great comfort...I know this from first hand experience!
