The Colorado Avalanche have announced the signing of forward Dan Hinote to a one-year contract, along with free agent forwards Brett McLean and Andre Savage.

Hinote, 27, appeared in 59 games with Colorado during the 2003-04 season and tallied 11 points. He has NHL career totals of 22 goals and 30 assists in 280 games, all with the Avalanche.

Terms of his new contract were not announced.

"Dan Hinote is a product of our organization whose grit and determination has enabled him to contribute to our success over the last five years he's been here," Avalanche president and general manager Pierre Lacroix said.

McLean, 25, is coming off his first full NHL season where he averaged 17 minutes of playing time for the Chicago Blackhawks. He scored 11 goals and 20 assists in 76 games.

Savage, 29, was with Providence and Philadelphia of the American Hockey League last season. He played in 66 NHL games with Boston and Philadelphia since signing with Boston after a four-year college career at Michigan Tech.
