my personal opinion? i think he's scared. i think he really scared himself with this injury. but i don't think he will retire. regardless of wifey pressure. she tried to pressure him into quitting last time he broke his jaw too, and then tried to deny she ever said it after it was all over the newspapers.
he will mellow out for a while, heal for a while, and check with some other doctors, but i think he'll be back, for the playoffs at least. i dno't think he'll retire, just a few weeks ago he was saying how he couldn't not play hockey next year, that he'd go to germany and play. does that sound like someone who's ready to quit.
i also think she'll (wifey) be making a BIG mistake if she pressures him into anything. if he quits and doesn't really want to, i think she'll be sorry. of course, she's been bullying him and bossing him around for years so who knows. the front office in chicago and in phoenix still tell wifey stories.
i just want HIM to decide what's best for HIM. not anyone else. anything he decides is OK by me. I'll be really sad if i never get to see him play again, but I'd rather have him healthy.
I saw in the philly papers that he "sent her away." That she was so upset. Yeah well, he'd never get ME to leave, I'd never be sent away no matter how upset, no matter what. I'd never have left him there alone. No F**king way. Never.
