hey all, thanks for the welcome! jace- i totally agree with you, new jersey is just a sucky place in general (the places that i have been anyways), it seems to me most of them are still stuck in the early nineties....think huge hair and lee press ons!!! ok, a little about myself, i'm 22, i go to school on the island and i'm a media communications/ journalism major. i like to write down what i'm thinking, so sometimes my posts will be long and rambling, but there is usually a point. at night i work in a restaurant, but hopefully one day i'll replace deb kaufman as the islander commentator/interviewer (the islander fans know who she is). i've been an islander fan since i was little, my uncle used to be a sponser or something, so sometimes when something big happens, we still get the hookup, which is really cool, because now i am old enough to check out some of the guys!! i'm friendly with a few of them, not go out or anything, but if i see them we'll say hello. my favorite player (ha, in more ways than one) is shawn bates. there's something about him i like, even though i hear he's a total man whore. i'm looking foward to gossiping with you girls, you seem like a tight knit bunch which is why i always lurked, but you all seemed really cool, so i figured i'd join in!!!! again, thanks for the warm welcome, and hopefully i'll talk to you all soon!!!
