The elven tree spirit shuddered, caught by surprise. He didn't know wheither to hate the man, or to admire him for his bravery. "You're a fool Belzac, you know that right?" Standing up, he walked slowly over to where the girl lay, her bare skin shimmering in the Winter sun. Ironhorn picked the maiden up, her golden hair falling over his arms as he walked to the edge of the water, looking into it's glassy surface, he saw millions of stars reflected there although it was midday. As a chill wind picked up, he clutched the girl closer to his bare chest hoping that she would not catch cold. Ironhorn did not know what to do, but the little comforting voice that was Willow's sounded in his head: "You must take the risk, or trust the water, whichever you prefer to call it, you must drop her into the water, you must let the Lake do it's own magic. This will be Belzac's first test as well as your own." The Elf's throat tightened at the thought of letting his friend fall unconciously to the bottom of the gloomy lake, "Belzac, you must walk out with her, then-" the words were hard to say, "You must drop her into the water." Ironhorn looked down at the girl's pale face, the breeze blowing her locks over her slender body, surprisingly, she was lighter than the Elf had thought she would be. Then, like a lightning flash, a symbol shimmering silver appeared on her collarbone. A moon encircling a circle with a dot in it's center, a slash through it's middle. He did not know what it meant, he did not know if the Lake had anything to do with it, but the symbol shone there plain as day, and Ironhorn felt the need for urgency, "Come on Belzac, we don't have much time, and I'd like you to know," he gritted his teeth, "You're taking this spell off of me the second she awakens."
