豪頓首拜劍龍足下：余見足下＜鳳凰＞一詩，飄逸之風可謂溢矣！唯余怪之──余有＜哀蟪蛄＞之詩，旨莫不諷小知之徒。至於諷諸足下，亦無錙銖之意；而未久先生作＜鳳凰＞之詩，余甚惶甚恐，蓋懼于先生誤以鳳凰而諷于不才，遂乃專函奉達，以表余懷。噫！失當之處，願得先生弘諒，則幸甚幸甚。
