Subject: Funfairs&Heartbreak THIS SATURDAY

A very happy New Year to one and all. As our only planned London gig of 2005 so far, we would like to welcome all those who are unawares to Nambucca, Holloway Road this Saturday for an evening of Dance competitions, fine music from the marvellous Moogs and dodgy DJing from us. More information will be posted as and when we have it available, but we hope to have everything up and running by around 8pm.
Also, if anyone has any contacts in the underworld as to where to get hold of dancing clothes you might expect to find in the film Footloose, Andrew would be extremely grateful.

Yes, yes and a last hearty yes. This is our last gig befored diving deep into a massive bout of recording and play the board game Risk.

Everyone coming on saturday should bring their dancing shoes as there will be a dance-off with prizes for the best movers. Also get be sure to get to Nambucca early to see the fabulous Moogs, who are coming all the way from Blackpool by Airplane, and are bring a crack squad of their town's finest bingo callers with them.

Its sure to be a splendid evenin

hello everyone. seeing as i havent seen the band for quite some time, and will be unlikely to see them for quite some time after this gig (but im very glad its because of recording! im cant wait to hear more recorded stuff, any idea what the next single will be? hows about b sides? im sure whatever it all is it will be fantastic). so i just wanted to ask, what time do you think the moogs will be on stage, and what time do you think special needs will be on stage? i would very much appreciate it if someone would let us know, but anyway.
best wishes, good luck.

I shall (fingers crossed) be there on Saturday with my dancing shoes on and ready to get down to the dodgy DJing.

Please tell me there will be bingo too?
And Risk. I want to beat you all. Or die trying.

The Forum NYE was fantastic. I can't think of another way I'd want to open the New Year 2005, than at a Special Needs gig.
Lovely.

I will *hopefully* be there, it sounds like a big barrel of fun with a cherry on top, but there is the everpresent risk of not being let in, since i am only 16. (if i dont get let in i'm going to cry, as ive been looking forward to this fine event for weeks.) If anyone knows how me and my friend can get in, i welcome all suggestions. if all goes well, i'll be there.

Any mention of Footloose will catch my attention. Hopefully there will be some dancing to match the clothes. I'm going to do my best to come along to Nambucca, and I'm going to rope in some lucky friends too.

I'll be there, with the above georgia. Risk sounds very promising, not to mention scrabble and the dance-off.

Tess - don't worry, I'm sure you'll be fine. I'm the same as you but we can't be refused entry to such a jolly, Footloose-based evening now can we? ;)

Yeah of course not, they cant refuse us entry. Do you know that i have never actually played a game of scrabble, Not the proper one anyway, we only used to play the kiddies one where the words are already written. But i think ill be really good anyway, ill just do what kenny Craig does and create words like cupboardy.
See ya all there.

Never played scrabble? Well, we'll have to have a rousing game on saturday night. If, you know, we're not too busy doing more interesting things.

Footloose is a favourite of mine. Seriously if I had the soundtrack I'd bring it along and make you play it. Ok actually adding that to a list of things to do... buy footloose soundtrack.

I think Footloose is underrated. People place it alongside that rubbish film Flashdance! Please. Footloose is a classic tale of the kids rising up against the parents, using the medium of sincere 80's pop/rock and very enthusiastic dancing.

You'll have to wrestle the scrabble board off me first. I can be quite protective over these things.

Footloose is Daniel's favourite film.
Of course, its hideously fucking awful.
He prances round the kitchen like a club-footed ballerina in his ladies dressing gown, goading mothernature with his clumsy moves.
He certainly puts the loose in footloose.

>That's settled it, Footloose must DEFINITELY be played, just to see Daniel dance.
So long as he doesn't get shy...

So that makes Daniel the Willard of the band, now who is Ren? Who's the best dancer?

like fuck i'm willard... although his robot dancing at the final dance was very nifty...

My moves are like cross between kevin bacon in the abandoned factory where he works off his frustrations through dance, and fred astaire at his best.x

That's pretty athletic dancing he does in the factory, but then he has a lot of frustrations to work off. I look forward to seeing some somersaults from Daniel at the next gig.
