Subject: funfairs and heartbreak- need class acts fast


its returning january the eight at nambucca, a monthly playpen for the extrodanaire. we want this to not be three bands and some djs, really a paraphernalia of all thats regrettably been sent to the breakers yard against its own will.

we are looking for

-stand up comedians.not alternative.les dawsons and coopers need apply.the goons ideal.

-ventriloquists.

-tiller girls and a chorus of young boys singing of youth clubs and first time kissing.

-playwrights perfoming such classics as "the girl from the launderette" and "carry on up the nightbus charles"

-five willing dartist in full regalia.backing music to be performed by needs,must stay in character

-a magician.

-a thrilling hypnotist of unstable mind.

-a phil collins impersonator

-a human slot machine

-slapstick chaplins and keatons

-after dinner speakers of the roger moore ilk.

-bobby davros son

-a brucie bonus

-a host for a version of blind date. the needs will play the contestants. the luckly lady into a trip to the scarborough crush. a cheap date with no prospects.

-a pure doo-wop group

-especially needy

-the nineteen remaing ww1 veterans.

I dunno if you're interested but you may remember my colleague Stefan talking about his folkgypsyjewishwedding band. they are good. i can ask them if you like. they are not rock n roll though.

perhaps douglas and i could do a cover of 'who by fire' too. it's a dream. mind you i have a fear of stages so maybe not. x

Katie Jacobs, you know this is my excuse to hitch hike to this mystery place you call York, kidnap you, and carry you back to London. As the actual professional talent (shes an opera singer don't you know) in Especally Needy, you are needed to guide myself and Kate to be as good as you. This will take time. Two months to be exact. tis ok Alice, she comes to Cambridge at the weekend and you can hitchhike and visit us both. practice, practice we must. my Tarts rendition is getting quite good, if you stand on a hill a few miles away and stick your fingers in your ears.
