Subject: Uncle Doug's Birthday Weekend!

Hello,

the house is quiet so I've stolen into the housemate's room and am going beserk on dial-up. Foaming at the mouth and that. Been in the countryside for a few days. London's fucking loud. I can't calm down. Bit pissed and scatty.

Sorry to post this here on the Needs' forum but... It's my birthday this weekend. The celebrations will be taking place from Friday AM until Sunday PM/Monday AM. That's a weekend. Haven't worked out the venues but anyone who wants to will be more than welcome to join in on the proceedings and leave when they like. For the more cordial behaviour, aim to appear early.
So far, it looks like this...

Friday daytime: My house. Bethnal Green. To a soundtrack of Tom Waits and The Boss. Alcohol. Two pubs.
evening: Last night ever of 'Club For Lulu' (which I dislike) at the Pitch underneath the Polar Bear pub, Leicester Square. Can drink 'til 3am. If appropriate. May move around to other places.

Saturday daytime: Nursing sorrows in North London pubs of people's choosing.
evening: Whatever people like. Am thinking of Nambucca, Holloway Road as it's free and sizeable etc. There's an outside possibility I will be making an appearance in Southampton but the rest will still be in London and I shall return if that's the case.

Sunday: My birthday. The Douglas family home. Free alcohol, food and beds will be forced upon people. Likely to be very good. Usually is.

That's quite vague but all are welcomed with very friendly, open-arms... regardless of whether I know you or not - you are most welcome and will be celebrated as part of the family. Many other things have been mooted as destinations venues. We shall see. I've been at the Stag this evening (cheap whisky not the pub).

Let me know if anyone wants in?

Douglas x

No no no.

Douglas and Kendalll, come to Southampton with us for the inexpicable Lennons gig. Merriment on the beach is what we've been searching for for so long. Let's bring sleeping bags and sleep on the beach in Southampton. Unless it rains, in which case we find (a) a park (to shelter under natural umbrellas, i.e. trees) and some cider to induce stories through the intolerable night, or (b) we chip in for a hotel room (twenty people, two quid each, more cider and more stories, preferably of the ghost variety - I've got a few and I know Andrew's got at least one).
Then next morning we head to Brighton in the morning for memories of February including violence on the dodgems.
Viva la unforgettable weekend.

Bump it up.

Zac xxx

mind you, it very much depends on what time you are travelling there, and what time you are playing.
