For those of you considering Home-Insemination using frozen donor, I got pregnant on my first try. I highly suggest you pick a donor's who has excellent semen parameters and post freeze thaw. I used www.nwcryobank.com and they provide this information. These would be good "swimmers" after the vials thaw. I really studied my ovulation cycle for about 2 to 3 months. I was lucky to be very regular. The first try, Friday night, I panicked thinking I was going to miss my ovulation even though the ovulation test was not showing the LH surge, so I inseminated Friday night. This was probably a waste, but Saturday around 3:00PM, I started seeing positive on the ovulation test and I inseminated 8 hours later. I inseminated around 11:00PM. I only used one vial each try and I read that using more than one each try doesn’t necessarily increase your chances. I also used IUI prewashed. I don't see how anyone gets pregnant from these little vials? I elevated my hips by folding a comforter and slept in that position the whole night. I'm a little shocked, because I did not expect for this to happen on the first try. For those of you considering home-insemination with frozen donor sperm, I highly recommend it. Anyone, especially single older women (37 on May 27th – what a great birthday gift!) who would like to chat with me you can email me at rfuglaar@yahoo.com. Best of luck to everyone.
