The Arriva fleet in Derby isn't that bad! There are other areas that Arriva serve that have much worse services and indeed buses. The Arriva Derby services are punctual, albeit using older buses on some routes. The main fault i find with their buses is the litter - they need to be cleaned whilst in service really. Im not sure if trent still do this, but their buses always appear to be cleaner!

I understand that the Darts used on the Chellaston routes will be gradually repainted, and the branding phased out.

Also Arriva is not the only company putting fares up. Trent also do this!

Personally I dont like the DAFs. If theyre quality buses, i dont want them! The Volvo B10BLEs are nice though, much better "quality" buses.

A bit contravertial perhaps, but do Arriva need deckers? Could they follow Trent example and use just SD buses on higher frequencies? Saying that I wouldnt want deckers to dissappear, and i can't see that they will.
