so i picked these 2 up today. i read a few pages of dianetics... and wow. i'm going to need a large supply of acid to even remotely understand how people buy into this. at the cost of $350,000 you get to hear some science fiction novelist tell you how to be nicer to people, and that earth and it's people are remnants of alien souls who were killed by hydrogen bombs in volcanos. it's daunting to think that christianity isn't preposterous enough, some people are buying into this gibberish. L. Ron Hubbard = true hustler.


however Parliament of Whores, by P.J. O'Rourke, is very comical. dude is pretty conservative, however, dope-smoking, gun enthuiasts have won me over before so i'm going for it.
