Agree with all that, it was a top, top night. I too thought the sax sounded very Saxaesque at times, and Ranking somewhat Wakelingesque on certain songs. Rose-tinted ears perhaps.

I haven't seen them play since the RFH gig, which was obviously special with the boy Wakeling putting in an appearance, but before that I'd seen them do a warm up at the Half Moon and they were understandably a bit ropey at times. I was a bit disappointed if truth be told.

But at the 100 Club I was truly impressed, it was superb, with all bar one or two tracks sounding as good if not better than all those years ago. The larger line-up certainly seems to have gelled and they were very tight despite the poor sound at the 100 club.

Roll on the next one...
