Ah yes, the old Super VC-10. Glad your saw the connection!

Actually it was at an air museum, and that plane was the most suitable for our shot, as we wanted a James Bondish, Saintish sort of vibe, to go with the BEA/BOAC style logo for the Band.

Saxa was an Oil Potentate visiting, and we were his super security team...The SBS...The Special Beat Service! We were swivelheads/rotating heads, hence the suits and the pieces of polystyrene and wire stuck in our ears to look like walkie talkie headphones! We were protecting Saxa whilst pulling heroic, resolute faces. It was the time of the Falklands War, so I hope you can forgive us for being so agitated! And the Oil connection is at least as prophetic as the tsunami behind us on the original Wh'appen sleeve eh?

Most interesting thing about the Special Beat Service sleeve was saxophonist Wesley Magoogans display of the incredible ancient chinese martial art of making your leg disappear under a white coat. Look again!

Cheers,

Dave
