What can I say?
A brilliant evening all round.
To start The Supatones played an excellent set working real hard to get the crowd going which I think were all suffering from frost bite coz of the cold evening outside.
Once we were all warmed and had a few dinkies in us on came The Beat ... Da Daaa!
They really let rip a really tight set of all the faves and a few new tracks to wet out appetites. I really liked R Juniors song he wrote which I didn't cach the name of.
Sadly Saxa wasn't there but Mark Hamilton is an excellent substitute and really seem to be having a ball and put out some great sounds.Andy pearson's brilliant bass playing and Everett Mortons drums really drove the songs from begining to end.R Roger and R Junior were on top form interacting with the audience and all (first time I have seen R junior perform and was well pleased). Through the smoke I could just make out Blockhead and Guitarist Neil who were both giving excellent performance although I couldn't hear the keyboards too well from where I was standing but that was my fault. I went to the bar during the set and it all sounded terriffic!
Well done guys and thanks for a great night!!
Untill next time!

P.s get some live cd 's done to sell at ya gigs!
