Being 'the right age' [cough] I was a huge Beat fan first time round and they were hugely inspiring [politically -'Love and Unity'] to my own band, 'Bradford' who enjoyed a modicum of Indie success in the late hateties [sic][Morrissey recorded one of my songs, I kissed Bjork in Paris and did a 'Rock Against The Rich' gig with Joe Strummer - he was cool]. A couple of old reviews even compared my voice to Dave Wakeling and I used to have an earring with a musical note on!

Not one for nostalgia but I thought the North Bar gig was amazing - I danced me tits off - 'Big Shot' -yeah! And I was hugely touched by papa Sax signing my newly bought Beat t. shirt [my old one literally wore out].

How good does the music sound? - How fresh and totally dancable.

Willl hopefully catch them at the Witchwood.
