They are not COVERING Dog Eat Dog at all. Not one song on their eponymous LP was written by Dog Eat Dog, they were all originals written by Rob Aston. Also every one of their songs is better than 'No Fronts' and besides Dog Eat Dog weren't as punk as The Transplants either. The album has been compared to The Clash's 'Sandinista' album which is a much better comparison.

They are avant garde in that they are trying to create a new musical genre fusing Punk and Hip Hop. Chart position really hasn't got much to do with them not being Avant Garde - No. 27 now with a song that was banned by Radio 1, in another 5 or 10 years time it would be in the Top 10 i reckon - that is what makes them avant garde!

Their next single D.J. D.J is out the beginning of next month and i believe is should do better than 'Diamonds and Guns'
