That Link 80 gig was like January 2002 - was that really the last time you have seen them? It was a damn good show that night and i only went to Spiders AFTER i had seen Link 80. The first time i ever saw Capdown was at the Adelphi March 2000. They were supporting King Prawn and i left that night thinking that Capdown were pretty average and that King Prawn were awesome. It's funny how things can change in 3 years - King Prawn are still damn good but Capdown are now better (in my opinion). The good thing about them both is that they have they own distinctive sound/style.

Yeah, i know what you mean about little kids treating the Adelphi as a Youth Club or like an extension of the school playground. This has been particular evident at recent gigs when 'P-Rock' bands such as Jesse James, Farse, 4FT Fingers and Violent Delight have come to town. They seem more interested in being with the 'cool' crowd rather than the music and i find that pathetic. The worst thing about it for me is because there are so many kids going to Adelphi gigs now - you find yourself now being asked for ID even though you've been drinking there for like 5 years (and the barstaff hasn't changed that much) and never being asked before. I guess they have to be seen to treating everybody the same with a cast-iron policy of checking EVERYONE.

Still we were all little kids once, and at least they go to 'Punk' shows rather than listening to crappy boy bands. Just a shame they are getting into this music via shite like Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Avril Lavigne etc etc. I bet everyone was saying that back around '94 with Green Day and The Offspring though.
