Look, i don't have an inflated sense of my self-importance! You seem to have invented yourself an inferiority complex because I don't look down on you or anyone because i went to university. If you reckon this because i things i have written on here then i'll tell you - it was because i was in 'debate mode' trying to BREAK THOSE WALLS down one by one. I think i've done it pretty well because you've obviously lost the stomach for the fight.

If you knew me properly then you would know that i have pretty low self-esteem and like another band i like (No slagging please) The Mighty Mighty Bosstones sing "Everybody's better than i am i think, everybody's better than me." I'm also a cheeky monkey at times but can also be a very sardonic person (like you). It does seem silly that we judge each other when we've never had a proper conversation - so i guess both of our pre-conceptions and first impressions that have led to this situation. So yeah, let's end it here and just agree to disagree.

About the F-word. Look the word 'Fuck' does have it's place - especially when conveying genuine anger and annoyance. I use it - but rarely in forum debates. Part of my debating strategy is to use language and vocabularly as a weapon! and to look for any signs of weakness in the person i'm debating with - in your case your over reliance on using an aggressive "Fuck Off" to win an argument. You fell for this strategy 'hook, line and sinker' because it seems to have created in your head an impression that i reckon i'm more intelligent than you. This was in evidence in your 'you think your university education gives you right to look down on me' argument and your 'arrogant, know it all' accusation, when i never once said "I'm cleverer than you because i've got a degree". The fact was you were assuming everything when i was assuming nothing! All i was trying to do was win the argument because you wrote that this is an argument that no-one could ever, ever win. It got a bit too personal at times with the 'why are you so angry?' stuff but i was just trying to Break Those Walls for argument's sake! - but the whole BTW 'angle' was the most effective way for me to counter your "bland, turgid" attack on Bad Religion and Pennywise. You do waste precious time a lot which could be better spent - that is my only major gripe with your band! I would like a bit of humour or just more music - because there's nothing more frustrating than waiting for someone to play a song. Some of your songs are good but most of them i don't like because i can't make out the lyrics through your shouting. For me, lyrics are the most important element of songs because musically you (as in anyone) could sound 'fucking' amazing musically and be singing about absolute bollocks! Ideally like in the case of AFI the music and the lyrics are equally as good. Talking about Anti-Flag and Justin Sane i heard their new song with the Do-Nots which you can apparently listen to on their website - it's damn good.

(Final Thought Kids) Talking about music can be a pretty risky business - especially if you call someone else's favourite band poo when you yourself are in a band! as this leads to accusation and counter-accusation about the various merits of either band. So sometimes (just sometimes) when you think a band is shit it might be better to hold that thought privately rather than proclaiming it and pissing someone off, because people can be very very protective of their favourite band. If you give out plenty of criticism then expect in back in abundance and then some - but never take it too seriously. So next time someone starts a thread with the title "Greatest Punk Rock Songwriters" just leave your favourite songwriters and never EVER call someone else's selection 'Poo'. Or alternatively you can just leave that bastard thread alone.

Amen.
