The portal shimmers slightly. Then, as if it has had a change of heart, it bursts noisily into rainbow-colored flame. A silhouette emerges from the now painfully bright portal. As the light dies down, it is clear that the figure is abundantly female. Brilliant magenta eyes peer out from under her thick, waist-length waterfall of lavender hair. Her skin is a startling alabaster with a pearly sheen. She wears a traditional Chinese qipao, or "banner dress," of a deep purple, and an ornately molded katana is strapped to her right side. All the men stare at her, with the exception of Raith, who looks away.
"Well... you certainly do like flashy entrances, don't you?" manages Eoren finally.
"Of course," Lentil says. There is a moment of silence, during which she shifts uncomfortably. Finally, she says, "Hey, stop looking at me like that!"
In an attempt to steer the not-entirely-unwelcome male gazes away from her body, she saunters over to Raith. "Heyla, stranger. Who're you?"
"Raith," he says quietly, looking away.
"Okay..." A glimmer of long-forgotten pain creases her beautiful features. Then she sighs, and turns back around.
"I thought I told you to stop looking at me like that!" She addresses Rhamberdie, who is leering at her, a thin line of drool trickling from the corner of his mouth.
