Captain Horatio Hornblower was what you'd call, at first glance, the cliche pirate from fantasies. He was tall and his skin was ruddy and tanned from being out on the sea since he was born. Long black hair was braided and pulled up under a red bandana which was topped by a pirate hat (minus the skull and crossbones symbol on it). He was done up in pirate finery (think captain hook from peter pan), a cutlass at his hip, a patch over his right eye, and his left leg nothing but a wooden peg.

Hornblower stepped off the gangplank and made his way to the shore, looking to and fro for the people Telmar told him would be coming. Suddenly, a tiger loped over and fell to the ground in front of him, sleeping. "Well, what 'ave we 'ere?" he muttered as the tiger became covered in snow and then turned back into the tiger-headed man. "Arr, must be one of the ones Telmar be sendin' me." He bent down and pulled the hood over Raith's head so as not to attract any more attention. He turned back to the ship and hollered for a few of his men. "ARR! Three of ye! Get down 'ere now an' 'elp this man aboard! Put 'im in one o' the passenger cabins! Don't dawdle! Let's go! The other ones'll be showin' up any time!" Three rugged sailors jumped down out of the ship and proceeded to carry Raith aboard and placed him on the bed in one of the many cabins on the level below the deck. Hornblower turned back to Rue de la Poisson to wait for the others to arrive.
