(OOC: Because no one has gone to Raith yet, I talked with the GM and Raith's going to get a small dragon (Like in the Dragon Riders of Pern Series if you know of it) and impress it, but they can actually exchange words telepathicly. Just don't think that I didn't clear this with the GM first heh.)
Raith opens his eyes quickly as he hears the sound of cracking. Taking out the large egg, he sets it softly on the ground infront of him, looking closly at it. The shell starts to slowly open up, a small head poking itself out. Then the small body breaks it's way through, rolling and running onto Raith's lap. Standing slowly, the small dragon opens it's wings, the silver shinly lightly in the light. The soft eyes of the newborn look up and stare at Raith, snuggling up to him.
Raith just smiles, a hand reaching to pet the creature gently, not wanting to damage it because it just came out of the egg. "How about I call you.. Alena, sounds like the perfect name for you." Without knowing at the moment, he just created a psychic link with the small thing. Then all of a sudden, words float into his mind, "Mummy?" The voice was definatly female, and he blinks, "You.. talked.." "Yes mummy.. I'm hungry.." The dragon looks up with sad puppy eyes, yipping softly. Thinking about it for the moment, he tries speaking back to her mind, "Don't worry.. I'll get you some food Alena." Smiling breifly, he doesn't even reconize that she keeps calling him mommy.
Holding Alena in his arms, he promises again to find her food, then sniffs the air. He catches the smell of roasting meat in the air. Turning in the direction of the smell (The small fishing town) he runs down the side of the cliff, only wanting to get the little one feed.
