I'm completely seeing this.
A lot of people were thinking Fox might actually be the father, which would be very interesting and very possible, but I like the idea that he was hired by Gwen. And that's not too far fetched. Yeah, some people will be like, "but the newspaper! We didn't see him being called in by Gwen!" Well, newsflash... David started out the same way! And recycling isn't exactly something JER's against.
I can see Gwen accusing Theresa of making her lose her "baby" and it will cause a riff in E/T's relationship. Gwen is the prop. Fox is the catalyst. He will be the one to bring E/T back together! And it will be through means of hurting her and Ethan will have to rush back to her side and be there. Hell, perhaps we will see a GWTW replay... Since they want to compare Fox to Rhett, what if he does rape Theresa? What if he gets so enraged that she won't give up on Ethan...? I mean, Theresa being my favourite character I do NOT want to see that, but... Fox WILL do something to cause E/T to get back together.
Personally I can see this Gwen/Ethan/Theresa/Fox storyline really taking an interesting twist...if played right.

Yes! Very true. David started out the same way. We didn't know for quite a few months that he'd been hired by Ivy. And, like you say, JER is not one to turn up his nose at reusing storylines...
You know, I'd been thinking that he'd love her and leave her.. But rape... It could very well happen. Despite it all, Theresa won't give up on her Ethan... Fox gets so mad he totally loses it, then rapes her. Then we could have him saying that Theresa was making it up and it was consentual and all that. Of course, Ethan's not going to buy it for a second...

Exactly! And if she could ever get the charges against him, his Crane name would get him off! (I would rather that not be the case, but JER would probably keep Fox around to become a prop later on.) Ethan would be Theresa's lawyer through it all. It would also be a compelling story for E/T (though I do dread JER telling such a realistic story) because it would be mentally draining for her and they would have to work so hard on this.
But I still stand by my idea that E/T are JER's couple with substance. This storyline could be exactly what the doctor ordered so to speak...

Oh yeah... Let's see... Sam and Luis of course would be on Theresa's side, and they would get him arrested and charges would be pressed...
Although Big Al has expressed that none of the Crane kids are worth anything, he would protect the family name... Ultimately, Big Al would pay some official in high places off, and Fox would escape unscathed.
I could see it though... Through all of this, Ethan sticks to Theresa's side.
Maybe through out the process, as Ethan and Theresa bond again, a lot of the things that have plagued them so much could be gotten out in the open. Like.. Theresa's insecurities... Ethan's tendency to want perfection... Somehow, through it all, Theresa realizes that Ethan really loves her for who she is, and he realizes that she loves Theresa--and wants to be with her--despite everything that's happened.

Right. I could also see Sam and Luis' tempers and overprotectiveness being an issue. Perhaps detremental to the case thus giving Al and Fox leverage in their case.
But Big Al, no matter how he feels towards his kin, would do what it took to protect the family name. 'Sides, JER is always rewriting history... *sigh*
And E/T would use this - the catalyst - as a way to work back to each other. And I would love for them to take the oppertunity to talk about their past during that tumultous time.
Of course I still believe that at some point, Fox will become the prop...
