Subject: I really enjoyed today's E/T scenes...

I thought their scenes today were really good. The emotion was there and I really felt the connection this time. I mean, it was no TravLin, but I really thought the chemistry was more visible then it had been in the past. For once, in a *long* time, I felt like these two were so in love with each other that each thing they did to each other hurt very muchly.

On another note, it was interesting that Ethan brought up Bermuda...and the way he brought it up. I never heard him blame himself before. Plus how he put it... something like, "If you hadn't gone down to Bermuda to get Julian to adopt me, you wouldn't be in this mess." It was rather foreshadow-y imo.

And the WTF moment of the scenes... I thought Gwen destoryed Ethan's teddy bear? Maybe I missed something. :\

I thought she destroyed the bear too. Hmm. I have to wait two more hours for it though.

actually this is something a lot of people missed be I caught, theresa sowed up the bear. :-)

But yeah I agree u could see that et were longing for each still and they were in pain from not being together but they can't be because of the ties and circumstances...it was sad and you really actually felt sort of bad for ethan because is it really his fault he doesn't know his mother is a meanie?

But anyway et still want each other very muchly and I don't understand how some people got out of that scene that it signifed the end of et, because it just pretty much represented it's no where near over to me.

The end? LOL Not bloody likely.

I thought the scenes were really good also. They were really nicely played out and it was nice not to see Ethan screaming and Theresa whimpering for once.

Plus...I did detect the slight hint of communication going on.

As for the teddy bear ( I guess we can't say that JER totally forgets things, he keeps them to use at odd moments when it never matters. And Bermuda and tabloids seems to be popping up again.) Gwen did destroy the bear, but later when Theresa had been resurrected and she was talking to EM about the bear she was giving him she made mention that "I think this was the night that Ethan really started to fall in love with me....of course, Gwen tried to ruin the bear, but I found it and sewed it."

Later, Ethan found the bear in the closet in his room when he was getting dressed. Which I found hillariously comical. Since the room Ethan has now is not his old room.

So I guess somewhere Theresa must have handed Ethan back his bear, he saw it's damaged state and though he knew Gwen went psycho on it, he didn't get it like he gets nothing ever.

But the comment about "when you're like this you remind me of the Theresa I fell in love with..." seemed to show a real genuine connection between them. It almost melted my heart, mush that I am. Ethan has a point, I don't like Theresa with Crane power. She can be downright obnoxious at times. I wish she would lose it all and go back to what made Theresa so endearing...that she really was that nice.

Maybe it was just me...but Ethan seemed to be having a difficult time leaving the room period. Like it was taking a certain amount of will power to say I'm out of here...though he apparently forgets that he'll see her at work daily...oh and didn't he say he only wanted to deal with her on a professional basis? Apparently that was short lived LOL.

But the mention of Bermuda was interesting. I don't believe Ethan is the monster some want to make him into. We are never allowed to see Ethan's POV on anything, but I do believe the character isn't shallow. He has some serious stuff going on, but the show choses to ignore that. I think Ethan is fully aware of Theresa's love and devotion to him...the sacrafices she's willing to make for him...he just seems to have a pride issue.

Of course, I could do without Theresa flinging her son at Ethan everytime he walks away. First it's for a goodnight wave, now feeding. Let it go already. :\

Props to the hair departement also LOL. I don't know if Eric is growing his hair out or if they heard of something called a blow dryer...but the guy's hair looked actually like believable hair today. Whatever it was....they need to keep doing it. It almost gave Ethan the softer look that I associate with him.

I've always noticed that about Ethan myself. The pride issue. Despite TPTB lacking in giving any scene to us from Ethan's POV, his pride shows up a lot. And he's mentioned it on a few occassions.

But it was nice to see E/T in this light. They were communicating and they were being sincere. I think, for once, they were actually in an actual relationship without it even being on a romantic level.

And yeah, I have to agree with Ethan. Seeing her like, that was the Theresa I liked. I do like seeing Theresa strong, and really taking on - or supposedly taking on - Alistair, but I miss the sweet, innocent, niave Theresa. There is growing the character up and then there is just changing the character. *sigh* I don't like Theresa Crane.

ROFL @ props to the hair department. But yeah, I hope they're doing something different with it, having him growing it out. I like it. :) It doesn't have that stand at attention look to it. hehe

The E/T scenes were special today. I smiled at most of them like I use too when I looked at them. It was something genuine about their scenes today. I think Tao hit it on the head when she said, "for once, they were actually in an actual relationship without it even being on a romantic level."

This just goes to show that there are many demensions to their relationship. It's not all one thing like it is with the other couples on the show. I think this is why I'm so drawn to their particular story. There's so much more to their story, and JER is only scratching the surfice with them.

Now, Tiz, I don't know what kinda AIM chats you be having with folk, but this is so not over between them. I don't see how ppl can say that.

One, Rebecca is getting Gwen to change her mind about moving, so I doubt they go anywhere right now.

Two, if anything is over, I believe that it's the childish fantasy relationship E/T shared in the past. We are moving into adulthood now, so it's obvious to me that both Ethan and Theresa will start looking at one another in a new light. A more mature one.

Three, they can't be over for the simple fact that they share a child together. I'm not saying that EM is Ethan's, but he IS Ethan's Godson, so Ethan will always be involved with both Theresa and Lil EM somehow.

No, there are no goodbyes with E/T. Only the start of new adventures. And I am personally ready to travel right along with them. I love my E/T, and look forward to what the future will bring them.

yep, I saw the chemistry too. see when JER starts writing stuff for Ethan not getting pissed at Theresa for a change, we do start to seeing the chemistry happening with Eric portraying Ethan. Just when Eric took over, he was in a silly arse story where Ethan was watching Theresa in the death chamber and he was bedding Gwen the same week.

Yes Wen, I totally agree with you there. It was very nice to see a connection between not just E/T but between Eric and Lindsay. I really enjoyed it, and it gave me even more hope that they will take the E/T storyline to higher heights.
