I was given a pair of Gouldian finches as a gift and have had them for over a year. Recently, the female has been losing feathers around her face and is now to the point in which her face is featherless.
The other concern that I have is the fact that she has been laying a whole mess of eggs. There is a nest that we purchased and hung in the cage. The female immediately began to lay eggs in it and has never stopped. I have actually seen both the male and female in the nest and at times both of them outside of the nest. I am not sure why they have been so inconsistent. I am also not sure if any of the eggs are still good and whetehr or not I should just remove the nest and the eggs. Frankly, I just don't know what to do.
PLEASE help me!
