Subject: performance options

Don't let the name fool you. I am the victim of a father who wants to live out his rice boy fantasy through his daughter. I have a 1997 convertable 2.4L LS, which currently doesn't have anything but cosmetic mods, even those stupid euro tailights. (no offense to anyone who thinks otherwise or to those who have been saving up for a set, but I'm a performance girl). I have been trying to decide what to do to performance wise, and I would like a little input.
Option 1 is turbo charging, as far as I know there isn't a company which currently produces a turbo for my car. If you know otherwise please let me know.
Option 2 is supercharging. It's not only expensive, but from what I've heard it's not the way to go with a 4-cylinder.
Option 3 is engine swap. The new Ecotec engines seem promising. I know I can get an engine, transmission, and computer from the junkyard for a decent price. They already make a turbo for it. In theory, it should bolt directly in with a few modificaitions, since it is the same basic body. My dad's a mechanic so the expense of labor isn't an object, however it seems like it would be easier just to buy a new car. I really want to keep my convertable though.
If anyone has any ideas for an option 4 or a suggestion on which option is best please let me know.
