After many years I realized I am really alone here - we are all alone, really - out of choice. We don't want to share ourselves - we shun love as something we don't deserve - We are all part of a whole - but scream and kick to retain our little peice of individuality. To love someone else, really love them, would mean to lose yourself entirely and become someone else. I don't see that very often at all - next to never. I see people in lust or in relationships of convenience who wouldn't know what love was if it landed on their heads. True love would scare the shit out of them and send them running. They'd be horrified to feel so much. They lie to themselves that their relationships have depth and meaning - but its all about them - what they're getting out of it - whether or not its good for them - - - true love consumes and burns and leaves no choices about what's best for who - it is something beyond control. It is not about you.
