VENDOR REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS APRIL 17TH
8.2 million people live in the Baltimore-Washington region. The 2009 Mid Atlantic Kayak Festival will take place in the middle of this metroplex on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. Will your brand be represented? Vendor registration deadline is this Friday, April 17th. Booth space for three days is only $500. USCG IN-WATER HELICOPTER RESCUE DEMO
The United States Coast Guard will be on hand Saturday to provide a live demonstration of what it would be like to be rescued at sea.

LOCAL SOUNDS AND FLAVORS OF THE REGION
Enjoy local folk and bluegrass music and savor Eastern Shore delicacies, including Maryland Blue Crabs, barbecue chicken, oysters, corn on the cob, and FREE organic ale from Clipper City Brewery. Tickets for Saturday's crab-chicken-oyster feast are only $15 per person with 100% of the proceeds donated to the Smithsonian Institution's Environmental Research Facility, located directly across the Rhode River from Camp Letts. The first-annual Mid Atlantic Kayak Festival is a laid-back social, demo, retail, instructional, and fun three-day event kicking off the 2009 paddling season in the Baltimore-Washington region. MAKF is held at Camp Letts in Annapolis, Maryland at 38°53'18.81"N 76°31'46.20"W. Camp Letts provides easy access to both protected and open water conditions, excellent lodging, plenty of parking, a great picnic area, and a large hall for retail sales, all within a 150 yard radius. Paddlers of all ages, from beginner to expert, will enjoy quality coaching and events from world renowned instructors. On-site demos will be just a few steps from a large retail hall that will offer an easy "try and buy" experience. This year, with more Baltimore and Washington DC area residents choosing to stay local, this event will help new and experienced paddlers tune up and gear up for an exciting summer of paddling "staycations".
