Duct Tape, yes, duct tape will do it. Apply duct tape to the shoes, smoothing out wrinkles. Cut to edge of sole. Paint the duct tape with craft paint. When paint dries, spray with clear sealer, by placing newspapers inside of shoe before you spray. Two coats of sealer are recommended. After the big event, peel off duct tape and you have your original shoes.
