i am 40, my boyfriend is 37. he says he loves me and wants to marry me.(which i used to believe, but now i am having my doubts) but we VERY RARELY have sex. i had to drag the answer as to why, and his response is that because i am too overweight and he is not sexually attracted to me. he says that sex is not that important to him anymore, he is willing to give it up to be with me because he loves me so much and i'm the "best woman he has ever had." well i'm not willing! and now i feel like like a fool for trying to get him to have sex, when he obviously was gagging inside. he knew i was overweight before i even met him, i told him on the phone, and of course there was our first meeting. i am so close to breaking up with him it's scary, but i really do love him! and what makes it worse is before i dragged the answer out of him, he kept saying i don't want to hurt your feelings or make you cry and the big one - why ruin a good thing? well who is it good for? certainly not me, living in limbo, wondering what's the problem, laying all the blame on myself, living a lie! now i'm starting to feel that he is using me, not for sex of course...lol, but other things such as a maid, cook, cleaner, cheap rent, use of my car(he doesn't have one, although he fixes mine and pays for the parts). he makes about $700-$800 more a month than i do, gets what he wants, and sometimes asks me to help pay his bills. writing all this down, i believe i've answered my own question. but i'd like a second opinion, especially from guys. can you love a woman so much you'd give up sex to be with her? wouldn't you end up resenting her, or worse yet, have an affair? i think you would! please respond truthfully!
