My girlfriend of 5 years broke up with me about 5 months ago and said she couldn't see me and tell me. She did it over the phone. She was very upset as I was and was saying stuff like we were the perfect story and we used to be so happy. We stopped talking for about a month then I called her because she said she wanted to hear from me around Christmas. She was very upset with me and didn't want to talk. She was still mad at me for things that happened in the past. (I made stupid mistakes that I regret, I took her for granted at times and I wasn't good at showing affection) I stopped calling and tried to move on until she started sending me emails and calling me. She acted like nothing was wrong and we both enjoyed talking to each other. I thought things were turning around, she said she feels better when she talks to me and that she misses me. Finally I asked what was going on with us and she said she was confused and didn't know what she wants and she is still too confused to see me. She just continues to say I'm confused I need time and I don't know what I'm thinking right now. She then told me that her anxiety disorder has gotten a lot worse and that she needs time for herself. She is apparently on medication and is seeing a therapist. Is she just trying to let me down really really easy with excuses or is she really confused? Can her disorder play a part with her being so confused. Has anyone else been dumped over the phone then had their ex call them and email them saying they miss you then say they are confused and still can't see you? Help please! I don't know what to think, I still love her more than anything in the world.
