My boyfriend for 4 years broke up with me recently because he tells me.. we are travelling through different paths. You see, we were in a long distance relationship for more than a year but I visited him recently and stayed for six months. We are in 2 different countries as I am an immigrant to a foreign land. Our communication was good, we text and email everyday, and I call him 3 times a week at least. Aside from that, I send him snail mail as often as I could. He then tells me that he can no longer survive this kind of relationship as it is very hard. I understand. I was ready to give up my status and return to my home country just to be with him.. but he wouldn't let me. According to him, he doesn't want to hold me back. He says there are so many opportunities for me here but I just dont see it. He doesn't want to be petitioned here either because he has a good career going back home. I finally agreed to break up. But now, I feel so torn apart and so depressed. I dont know what to do.. I dont have any friends here, I dont want my family to know it either. I dont know if I did the right thing of agreeing with him.. Please help me..
