Hello,

My problem is quite simple and yet complicated. I have just moved to another highschool and I'm now a sophomore. Since I'm new to this school, I'm trying very hard to make new friends. A lot of people who I am interested in making friends with already has their own BEST friends, so it's very hard to get them to be a good friend of mine. I know there are other people who doesn't have friends that wants one, but I don't have much interested in those people. I have friends but just not very good friends who would invite me to hang out with them. I try to call and ask them to hang out with me, but would it be annonying for me to be calling them to hang out? I can't really ask them to hang out at my place since it's not a very fun or good place, so I want them to ask me to go over to theirs. However, I think that if I say "can I hang out at your place" would be kind of inviting myself, and that would be rude. What do you think? Another problem is that often times I don't have rides, so I always have to ask my friends to give me rides and I don't think they like doing that. What should I do? There's yet another problem, a lot of friends that I made are not in my class and I only see them during lunch or during break, which also affects the relationship between us. How can I find a good friend of my own? I feel kind of bad that friends that I have at school never really ask me to hang out with them. Is there a reason for that? I have been in this school for 4 months. I have a few friends that have asked me to hang out with them, but it doesn't happen often. What should I do? Please give me some suggestion and help me out. Thank you.

- Sarah
