ok-help please

I recently told my guy friend that I like him and vice-versa (don't get on my case 4 spelling). Anyways, we are mutually flirtatious and many people assume that we're boyfriend and girlfriend. However, we're both too shy to actuallybring it up and figure out what we are. Basically, neither of us know what's going on. Is there any way to trick him into starting the convo, because I am WAY TOO SHY to say it first. That's just the way I am.
