前神父劉嘉兒因狎童罪成被判囚四年半，事件餘波未了。

據悉，一些身在美國和加拿大的神父和教友，準備為劉嘉兒籌集上訴經費。劉嘉兒打算從英國倫敦聘請御用大狀Michael Sherrard來港代表他上訴。
消息人士指出，劉嘉兒早前被控涉及非禮和企圖雞姦罪名，在區域法院受審時，已得到外間資助三百萬港元打官司。這筆錢來自一個銀行籌款戶口，在短短兩周內收集到的捐款，令他有足夠財力，聘請資深大狀清洪及大律師鍾偉強代辯。

他真是死不悔改.
