Greetings!

I don't know if this is widely known but my father, Alastair Livingstone of Bachuil has now been recognised as Chief of McLea - the Highland Livingstones. We have two sites http://www.clanlivingstone.com and http://www.clanmclea.co.uk.

There are various points that arise from this recognition.

First the cap badge showing the demi man and snake and the motto Si Je Puis are now demonstrably the proper badge of the Lowland Livingstones.

Second the correct cap badge for the Highland Livingstones /McLeas is a demi-man representing the figure of Saint Moluag Proper, his head ensigned of a circle of glory Or, having about his shoulders a cloak Vert, holding in his dexter hand the great Staff of Saint Moluag Proper and in his sinister hand a cross crosslet fitchée Azure, and in an Escrol over the same this Motto CNOC AINGEIL

Now my father is 90 and has asked me to take the lead on clan matters so I have been trying to encourage membership.

There has always been a close affection between the lowland Livingstones and ourselves and we would wish that to continue. It seems to me that we should join forces so that we have more chance of achieving that critical mass of members in various countries and actually manage to man a tent or two in the coming year.

Regards to all,

Niall
