Crouched like a nervous cat over a twitching kill, he swung a cautious glance back to Rene's room, hesitating to answer Ryu's silent plea. Best not to get too comfortable on the floor, lest the elder return and dislike seeing the two huddled together. But he carefully eased over the fallen form to place his own back to the wall and settled to sit at Ryu's side, running a gentle hand over the male's hair as he nervously tore his gaze from the door and looked once more down on the pale one. Hunkered low but careful to keep his feet well under him in case a swift flight was needed, he shook his head at the other's tears but gave no voice. Just rest, take it easy while the demon was gone...
