I am trying to confirm details of an RAF pilot who was a member of my aircraft apprentice entry (the 100th) at RAF Locking. Chris Ferris is believed to have died flying a phantom of 111 Sqdn from RAF Leuchars; not sure exactly when, but thought to be the mid 70's. He went missing over the North Sea. There were 3 Phantom crashes from 111 Sqdn at Leuchars in the 70's and we have found the names of the crew for two of them. But we cannot find crew names for the third...
XV403 (FGR2) 111 Sqdn, 04-08-78 North Sea off Aberdeen.

Hi there, I happened to come across your email inquiring about the names of the crew of XV403. I am Chris Ferris's daughter Joanna. It was the 30yr anniversary of my Dad's death in August. At the time I was only 9 and we hadn't been in Leuchars long.

Thanks for your input Joanna. I have sent you an email about the 100th Entry RAF Locking web site at http://100th-entry-locking.org.uk/ . Your father was an aircraft apprentice there from Jan 62 to Dec 64. I have also sent a link to the 100th Entry Photo Gallery which has a few pictures of him.
