Subject: RAF Nicosia - crash - 13 September 1955

I am enquiring on behalf of the sister of Flight Lietenant Peter SKINNER, killed in an aircraft crash on 13th September 1955 at RAF Nicosia. He is buried at the Wayne's Keep Military Cemetery near Nicosia. Does anyone recall this crash, possibly of a 32 Squadron or 73 Squadron Venom. It is believed Peter Skinner was based at Nicosia, but in transit to RAF Shaibah, Iraq, so it could have been a transport aircraft. There were unconfirmed rumours of EOKA sabotage. Peter's Marlborough-based sister, an artist, would like to know how her brother died. Please let me know on her behalf at brncrook@aol.com if you can recall any details.
