Hi John
Sorry for delay, I have closed down the CAT website as the cost and work involved doing it all on my own was too difficult.

However. I cleaned the TG517 Hastings, i think it now resides at Newark. I never knew at the time that the a/c was used for Vulcan training.
I once cleaned an HP Victor a white/ photographic job that was having a club foot spar replaced on its port wing. The electrical wiring was an enormous job.
The a/c left Lindholme with a nice "tide mark on its fin, we hadn't the gear to reach those parts.
The cleaning fluids we used were basol and Ardrox, which you kept your eyes clear of. Very concentrated stuff.
I have the booklet finished now and can scan page with my Lindholme experiences in if you like.
I have the HP Hastings in my FS2004, its nice flying it.

Regards Ray

My Father Flt Lt George w Smith was a captain on the Hastings based at Lindholme in the 70s . As a youth I had a few trips on the aircraft including Tg 517.

I flew a lot with your dad when I was a Hasting co-plot with 1066 between 1971 and 1974, and I seem to remember that I did meet you once in the crew room at Lindholme.

George was one of the nicest blokes that I knew, and was always a pleasure to fly with. I have nothing but good memories of my days working with him.
