my late father was at el adem as a sgt fireman bert beasley,was his name.iwas just a young lad when we lived at tobruk,we had a short tour as we where asked to leave the country by a certain person.onreturn to uk my father was posted to raf scampton.please reply if you remember my late father thanks

Hi Alan, came across your message whilst browsing, and had
a strong feeling that I knew your Dad, as mentioned by the
few I have made contact with, we are " old timers " now !!
but Bert Beasly certainly " Rang Bells " El Adem for me was
1956/59 and going by what I have read by the 1960/63 guys
it had changed drastically, many of the streets were still
full of war damage with just enough room to get a donkey-
cart by, when my family eventually joined me I had a flat
in Sheikh EL Mabry street. However best wishes to all
