Regular consumption of garlic act as an medicinal therapy to fight against various diseases and helps in reducing blood pressure level, improves cholesterol level and provides strength to fight against different types of cancer. In a study the researchers proves that a little dose of allicin, the active chemical ingredient present in garlic improves breathing system of rats. The reports are presented at the Experimental Biology meeting in San Diego. Researchers gave a known chemical to increase the blood pressure level of lungs in rats. The results are seen after three weeks and they found that half of the rats suffer from a persistent pulmonary hypertension and the rats those received small daily doses of allicin, experienced no such increase.
