I caught on that some of the media lurk here after 9/11, friends & I posted some comments about it. The next day we were quoted word-for-word on CNN (the site & names weren't mentioned), including 2 long paragraphs I personally typed. I gave CNN permision to use any news material or comments here... but they can't use our real names or mention the site. The news articles are from other news agencies anyway, I just give 'em something to think & write about. CNN is pretty cool. Every time Buffalo has a storm or weather disaster they love to take pix of me dealing with it. The "too fat for me" & the million dollar forger were posted here hours before the networks & CNN picked up the story. The leaked Pentagon papers were posted here days before it got mentioned on TV... but the leak was out there almost a week before I posted it. It seems like CNN comes here to look for interesting stories to fill up their hour... which is how my blog board has evolved to carry more news stories & commentaries. The news is out there before it's posted here, but if I want mainstream media to carry it or my veiw on it, I have to post it here. After CNN picks up the story, then maybe the networks do too. There's power in these keyboards! Not as many visitors to this board as the others, but all the right ones. They hardy post, but love to read. Thanks CNN for visiting the board & Buffalo.
